Over the years, our staff has developed experience in the area of forensic engineering that includes the verification and technical evaluation of failures or performance problems, identification of the source(s) of these problems, and the development and implementation of mitigative solutions. GDI’s staffs have experience in providing forensic engineering services on a wide variety of civil engineering projects including building distress investigations, slope and earthen embankment failures, landslide and debris flow investigations, earthquake-induced damage to buildings, and construction failures. We are experienced in supporting evaluations of building distress and determination of cause for both commercial and homeowners insurance claims, as well as construction claims for failures or changed conditions.
